daksha had twenty seven stars as daughters. All of them were married to moon. But the moon had special attraction towards rOhiNi. So all the other wives complained it to the father dakasha that their husband moon is not treating them fairly. daksha got angry and cursed the moon to lose its luminance (kala) day by day. Every day the moon started losing one luminance part (kala) out of his 16 parts. Afraid and ashamed moon disappeared into the ocean. There are many herbs that require the light of the moon to grow. Without moon, they were harmed. Consequently there was suffering in the world. To end the problem the celestials advised moon to take refuge in the Great Divine, Lord shiva. Left with only one kalA, he took refuge in Lord Shiva. Being the graceful Almighty, He wore the moon crescent on His head, making him grow for 15 days and decay for 15 days periodically. Thus chan^drashEkharar is considered a giver of refuge.

Jalandhara was a demon king. After doing harsh austerities he got lots of boons. By the power he got out of those boons, he captured and ruled the worlds. He went to the dEvAs to fight against. Since nobody was ready to fight against such a powerful enemy, everybody subdued to him without much resistance. He then proceeded to more powerful worlds of satyalOka and vaikuNTha. There too nobody was ready to fight against him. But he was told that only Lord Shiva can fight against him. Stupid jalandhara not realizing what he is doing, went to KailAsa, the abode of Lord shiva, to fight with the God! Lord Shiva took the form of an old man and stood on his way. He asked Jalandhara where he was going. Jalandhara replied that he was going to fight against Lord Shiva. Smiling the Old Man marked a disc (chakra) on the ground. He said, "Before fighting with the powerful Lord shiva, check your strength by lifting this disc above your head." jalandhara laughed at the Old man that he did not realize jalandhara's strength. He decided to show off his strength by lifting that disc. As he started lifting Jala.ndhara realized that it was not an easy job. He took that disc with great difficulty and placed on his head. The disc cut his head off cutting him into pieces!

bhagIratha was the renowned king forefather of rAma of raghu vamsa. His forefathers known as sagaras were burnt down due to a curse. For the upliftment of those ancestors from the cursed state to get to the heavens, he wanted to bring the river ga.ngA to earth. The idea is that when ganga waters touch the ash of sagaras, they would be uplifted from their sin. He did very severe austerities and to get the permission from indra. He gave permission to bring the ganaga flowing in the heaven to the earth, however he told, coming down to earth would be the decision of ganga. So bagIrata again started his penance and prayed the goddess ga.ngA. She agreed to come down, but warned him that he should find a person who could withstand the force with which she will descend to earth! He agreed and found out that the refuge would be at Lord shiva. He did the austerities pleasing Lord Shiva. Appreciating his devotion and efforts, Lord agreed to hold the ga.ngA when she descends to earth. ga.ngA out of her pride and ignorance thought that the Lord won't be able to withstand the force! She came down with an intention to gush down the Lord with heavy force. Can the Lord, Who holds the entire world He created, be pushed down by a river ? The Lord, who is the creator of the entire universe and who has taken the forms just out of the grace on creatures, arrested her flow in His matted hair! She tried her best to rush out of His matted hair, but in vain. Not a drop of water could escape! bhagIratha, worried by this (as he would not get ganga to earth otherwise), prayed to the Lord to show mercy on her. The Gracious Lord allowed the ga.ngA through a strand of His matted hair. ga.ngA then flowed humbly, gracefully and giving prosperity on her way to pAtALa. Thus the ancestors of bhagIratha were resurrected by the holy water of ga.ngA.

This blog is to attarct all those people who are expecting some scandal or wrong things about His Holiness Dr.Commander Selvam Siddhar. Our Intention is to throw light on the true nature of Dr.Commander selvam siddhar and enlighten you all, about his true self.

PEACE OF MIND

The mad race of competition to which we find ourselves pulled willingly or unwillingly has a heavy toll on the human psyche. The demands of our work places are too much. Anxiety hangs in the air, unhealthy competition verges to the brink of jealousy and hatred, differences of opinion are taken as attacks on one's ego, like the sword of Damocles insecurity keeps one's nerves in a jangle and if these were not enough we carry our tensions back home with the inevitable result of family quarrels, fights, accusations and counter accusations, thus making home more of a hell than a heaven.

Still worse is the fact that we fail to realize this situation. Just hint to someone that he or she is mentally ill or disturbed and the daggered looks would make you wish you had never mentioned it. For us mental illness is some alien malady that could never afflict us. Are not our superb performances at work, the large pay checks, social status and affluence enough proofs that our mental faculties are at their working best?

Well, if you believe so, think again. Sit down and introspect for some moments. Can you still your mind for some time? Can you experience deep divine peace and jubilation that comes by diving deep into the inner conscience? Try and all you shall find would be worries, problems and tensions related to home, office or relatives inundating your mind. The more you shall try to push them aside the harder they shall pound on your brains.

Maybe you are young and physically very strong, hence right now you don't feel the negative effect of the hectic life you lead. But look around and you shall find someone who is almost a mental wreck just because his or her mind could take no more of this jet set life. And if you think you shall never be a prey, you are wrong for the body as well as the mind has a limit and the moment you cross it .....!

Or maybe you are already feeling the negative effects -- sleep eludes you, veins stand out on your forehead seemingly ready to burst and giving you an intolerable headache, you lose patience on the slightest pretext, you suffer from frequent indigestion etc. Some try to overcome these by taking to drinking without knowing that they are inviting further trouble, for alcohol dulls physical pain but it cannot wash out mental anguish. Rather on coming back to the conscious state the anxieties return with renewed vigour. Moreover alcohol makes one physically weaker and unable to withstand the challenges of life.

Solution to this universal problem lies not in medicine or wine. It also cannot be ignored for in its worst stages it could lead to nervous breakdown, ulcers, brain tumours and even hormonal imbalance. The best and most effective way remedy lies in the field of spiritualism.

One way is meditation, but for a mentally disturbed person it is very difficult to concentrate his or her mind. Hence the ancient Rishis suggested Mantra Sadhanas.

Mantras are special divine syllables whose rhythmic chanting produces a soothing effect on one's mind. Regular use of Mantras helps one concentrate better and stills all mental turmoils and nervous disturbances. And once the chaos in the mind is calmed the physical body too returns to a healthy state. A Mantra hence not just flushes out useless, negative thoughts from the mind, rather it helps the body get rid of toxins produced due to anger, frustration or hatred, which if left there could lead to illnesses and physical disabilities.

While using a Mantra for such healing purposes we tap into the power of the inner conscience or the Guru who dwells within, for this divine power can cure the worst maladies. Following is a wonderful Mantra Sadhana that can help you get rid of your mental disturbances and finally even your physical illnesses.

Early morning at 5-5:30 am on a Sunday have a bath and wear a yellow dhoti/saree. Sit on a yellow mat facing East. In a copper plate place a AtharvaYakshini Nivaran Yantra. On the Yantra place two Manah Chetana Gutikas. Take water in the hollow of your right palm and pledge thus - I do this Sadhana for mental peace and to get rid of all mental and physical disturbances. Let the water flow on to the ground. Next light a ghee lamp and looking at its flame chant thus 5 times.

Gurur Brahma Gurur Vishnu Gurur Devo Maheshwarah|

Guru Sakshaat Para Brahma Tasmei Shree Gurave Namah||

Next chant the following Mantra continuously without counting, for half an hour.

Om Hreem Hreem Shreem Shreem Hreem Hreem Om Namah ||

Do this daily for half an hour for 108 days . After 21 days throw the Yantra and Gutikas in a river or pond. After the Sadhna too sit daily for 10-15 minutes meditating on this Mantra. MANTRAS to Help You Stay Positive

“The best place to find a helping hand is at the end of your own arm.” ~Swedish Proverb

Mantra, according to the dictionary: Any sacred word or syllable used as an object of concentration and embodying some aspect of spiritual power.
Mantra, according to Sirena:Things I say to myself to help me deal. There are times we all go through that just straight up suck.During these times, it can be hard to think about anything other than what’s going on. We can become so consumed in our own misery that we often overshadow any glimmer of hope. And although these times can seem endless while we’re in them, it’s through these crappy times that we learn the most about ourselves and receive some of life’s greatest rewards.

I can only say this after going through some of my own crappy times. You know, experiencing little things like breaking up from an engagement, being unemployed, questioning my sexuality, severing several friendships, wiping through my entire savings, and accumulating way too much debt.
All within the same year.Yikes.

Through my own experiences of hopelessness, confusion, and doubt, I’ve learned to establish a few simple, but very effective phrases to help me stay positive and to keep things in perspective. So now, whenever things cross my path that may initially seem unbearable, or if I begin to doubt myself, I just remember and repeat some of the following mantras:

1. Keep your head up and your heart open.

I repeated this phrase to myself over and over again after my
aforementioned breakup. At the time, the last thing I ever wanted
to do was to open myself up again.

After being with the same person for over 6 years (6 years!), I
quickly realized that this kind of thinking wouldn’t get me far.

I trusted myself that if I just kept my head up and my heart open,
good things would come into my life. And I’m glad I listened to
myself.

I use this phrase both literally and figuratively.

By actually keeping your head up, smiling at people as they walk by, and keeping aware of your surroundings, you may notice something or meet someone that you potentially could have missed had your head been down.

When to use: During a break up, when you feel let down by someone, or when you feel betrayed or mistrust.

2. Go slowly.

With everything. Eating. Talking. Taking a shower. Driving. Even having sex.
I noticed when I was superstressed out about things, I had a tendency to run around like a lunatic, doing several things at once, often times having to retrack my steps because I was so distracted that I left several things out.

I found that my projects, errands, and even my conversations with people became very watered down because I was rushing just to finish. Now, whenever I feel like I’m rushing to just get things done, I slow down my pace, take a deep breath, and take my time with whatever it is I am rushing to do.

When we slow down, we can taste all the flavors in our food and we digest our meals better. We are better communicators when we talk slower, and we become better listeners.Accidents? They wouldn’t happen as much if we weren’t in such
a rush to get somewhere. It’s quality over quantity.

When to use: When you are in a rush on the highway, when you’re rushing out to get lunch, or walking around the office, when you feel pressure from deadlines, or while you’re annoyed sitting in traffic.

3. Be easy.

Or in other words, don’t sweat the small stuff.I realized that most of the issues that were giving me anxiety were completely out of my control, and they were usually things that wouldn’t matter five years, five months or even five minutes from the time.

Like freaking out that I didn’t have something to wear to a party, or stressing that I’d mess up choreography while teaching a class.I learned to not get so worked up over the small things, stressing about matters that, in the end, really didn’t make a difference. So, if you find yourself getting road rage from the guy that cut
you off on the highway, let him be. Why get angry and stress yourself out over it? Just be easy.

Did someone on the train bump you as they walked by? Who cares? The cab is packed; it wasn’t her fault. Be easy.

When to use: When it’s 1 AM and you’re wide awake in bed, thinking about the next day’s to do list, when you spill on your new white tank top, or when the copy machine at work jams. Be easy. There are far worse things in life.

4. Let Sirena be Sirena (swap out my name with yours).

Most of us wear masks. And most of us are afraid to be ourselves, simply out of fear of judgment. We take jobs we don’t really care for, stay in relationships we
don’t genuinely love, and pretend to be someone different for everybody else.

I was there—I stayed in a relationship far longer than I should have and I avoided confronting my sexuality because I was so afraid of being judged. And I’m telling you, it’s a heck of a lot easier to just be you—whatever that means, whenever, wherever. While you’re too busy making yourself appear to be someone
else, you kill yourself from the inside out. And it can be a long, slow and painful death to your soul.Bottom line? Accept yourself for who you are, and just be you.

This was the hardest lesson for me to accept, but the one that
has given me the greatest clarity and direction in life.

When to use: Times when you are questioning yourself, when you feel outside pressure to do/be/say/act in a way that is not congruent with your true nature, or when you hold back from doing what you truly want to do because you’re afraid of being judged.

Since my “sabbatical” from life, which is what I’ve now jokingly nicknamed this year of despair I described earlier, I have made some dramatic and positive changes.I have a job that I absolutely love, I am on track to pay off all of my debt by the end of this year, and I have accumulated a solid amount in my savings.

I’ve also rekindled past friendships and made some awesome new relationships, while becoming grounded and confident in who I am.

These mantras helped me get to this point. Having them has been an effective trick to help me stay positive and on track.

What phrase does that for you?

Dr.Commander Selvam Siddhar

Kabir is associated with the Sant Mat, a loosely related group of teachers (Sanskrit: Guru) that assumed prominence in the northern part of the Indian sub-continent from about the 13th century. Their teachings are distinguished theologically by inward loving devotion to a divine principle, and socially by egalitarianism opposed to the qualitative distinctions of the Hindu caste hierarchy and to the religious differences between Hindu and Muslim. The Sants were not homogeneous, consisting mostly of these Sants' presentation of socio-religious attitudes based on bhakti (devotion) as described a thousand years earlier in the Bhagavad Gita. Sharing as few conventions with each other as with the followers of the traditions they challenged, the Sants appear more as a diverse collection of spiritual personalities than a specific religious tradition, although they acknowledged a common spiritual root. The first generation of north Indian Sants, (which included Kabir), appeared in the region of Benares in the mid 15th century. Preceding them were two notable 13th and 14th century figures, Namdev and Ramananda. The latter, a Vaishnava ascetic, initiated Kabir, Raidas, and other Sants, according to tradition. Ramanand's story is told differently by his lineage of "Ramanandi" monks, by other Sants preceding him, and later by the Sikhs. What is known is that Ramananda accepted students of all castes, a fact that was contested by the orthodox Hindus of that time, and that his students formed the first generation of Sants.

In Kabir's wide and rapturous vision of the universe he never loses touch with the common life. His feet are firmly planted upon earth; his lofty and passionate apprehensions are perpetually controlled by the activity of a sane and vigorous intellect, by the alert commonsense so often found in persons of real mystical genius. The constant insistence on simplicity and directness, the hatred of all abstractions and philosophizing, the ruthless criticism of external religion: these are amongst his most marked characteristics. God is the Root whence all manifestations, "material" and "spiritual," alike proceed; and God is the only need of man--"happiness shall be yours when you come to the Root." Hence to those who keep their eye on the "one thing needful," denominations, creeds, ceremonies, the conclusions of philosophy, the disciplines of asceticism, are matters of comparative indifference. They represent merely the different angles from which the soul may approach that simple union with Brahma which is its goal; and are useful only insofar as they contribute to this consummation. So thorough-going is Kabîr's eclecticism that he seems by turns Vedântist and Vaishnavite, Pantheist and Transcendentalist, Brahmin and Sûfî. In the effort to tell the truth about that ineffable apprehension, so vast and yet so near, which controls his life, he seizes and twines together--as he might have woven together contrasting threads upon his loom—symbols and ideas drawn from the most violent and conflicting philosophies and faiths.
